Christopher's Birthday Card

Another not so good picture. But again this card had been delivered before I realized the picture was not so good. Anywhooo, this is another BD Card for April and it's for my newphew. He is a train guy. Loves Thomas the train!! So I thought this was appropriate for him. Miss you Christopher!!

I pulled out a SU Teddy and Train set for his card. I think the card is a little "flat". Nothing is raised to give it some dimension. But other then that I do like the card. Here are the details.

STAMPS SU Teddy and Train, Sentiment by CTMH C1257
INK Tuxedo Black by Memento, Various Copic Markers
PAPER CTMH Solid Cardstock Cranberry and Moonstruck, Designer Paper by CMTH I just don't know the name of it.

BEFORE AND AFTER

You know sometimes when you finish a card you say "I wish I had done this". This post is an example of that. Not that this time around makes a big difference but a lot of times it could. The thing that draws me to art work is texture or the look of texture. I like it when something makes me want to touch it.

Ok, on with the picture. T
his Mother's day card is for a dear friend who is going through a rough time. Almost everything and anything has happened to her in the past 18 months. I want to make sure she knows how wonderful a mother she is.

I love the color combination for this card. Lots of pastels, very feminine. Perfect for a Mother's Day card. When I finished the card though, I wish I had put my background through a Embossing Folder...well I created another card and did just that. I think it makes enough difference to say "ahhhhhh". The only thing I changed were the pearls. I used tiny brads so they would balance the design better.

I would love to hear you thoughts. Thanks for blogging by

Stampin Up Best Wishes and More

This is my take on my color combo but the real story for the card is.........

Ok, this is my first attempt to make a Valentine's Day card for this year. The real attempt is for my 15 year old son. This is tough for me. Valentines, Love and a card from your MOTHER!! Now if it was from some young girl from school it would be a total different story. I love a CAS (clean and simple) style but it was not just right yet. I will post another one some time today when I ponder it a little bit more ......but I do have something else in mind. So stay tuned in to see what I come up with.

Stamps: SU-Best wishes and More- GK Whismiscal Valentine-Sentiment

Ink: CTMH-Black-Watermelon-Citrus Leaf, Star Spangled Blue, Versa Mark

Box in a Bag

Wow I played with my WB (white balance) setting on my camera....and what a difference it made. YEA!!! I feel like I have really accomplished something.

This box in a bag is something I have seen over on Splitcoast and always wanted to do it..so here it is. What a great presentation this bag gives. Even my husband said "That's nice". It wasn't with a questioning tone in his voice either. I am giving this to my Scrapbook guru who helps me with my monthly crops. It's going to be filled with CHOCOLATE.

SCS CC195

Ok so I am finally able to post. My mom is doing well and her recovery should go great.

This is a challenge from SCS, CC195 today. The challenge was to use Basic Black, Very Vanilla and Sahara Sand. My conversion to CTMH colors are Black, Colonial White and Bamboo.

Mono (or limited colors) can be very difficult for me. I LOVE them though. I am drawn to them but when it's time for me to do one, it's a STRUGGLE. So any way this is what I came up with. I hope you like it and thanks for stopping by.

Stamps: SU Take Three
Paper: CTMH Bamboo, Black and Colonial White
Inks: Black,
Accessories: SU Tag punch, CTMH Waxy Flax (all three colors)
