Stampin Up Best Wishes and more

This is the card for my son. All I changed up is the cardstock. I took the kraft paper and made it the card itself and made my focal point the white cardstock. I stamped the background using PTI Polka Dot Basic. So simple to use!!! Love this stamp set.

Stampin Up Best Wishes and More

This is my take on my color combo but the real story for the card is.........

Ok, this is my first attempt to make a Valentine's Day card for this year. The real attempt is for my 15 year old son. This is tough for me. Valentines, Love and a card from your MOTHER!! Now if it was from some young girl from school it would be a total different story. I love a CAS (clean and simple) style but it was not just right yet. I will post another one some time today when I ponder it a little bit more ......but I do have something else in mind. So stay tuned in to see what I come up with.

Stamps: SU-Best wishes and More- GK Whismiscal Valentine-Sentiment
Paper: PTI-Kraft and white card stock
Ink: CTMH-Black-Watermelon-Citrus Leaf, Star Spangled Blue, Versa Mark
Accessories: Scor-Pal, Ribbon from outlet store, Clear embossing powder
Techniques: Embossing (hearts), Dry embossing (score lines)

Color Challenge

Here is another color combo for you to try. The reason I chose these colors is for Valentines.......and Valentines for my 15 year old son. This is a toughy for me. Not something too sweet and too pink. He doesn't want to receive something from me confessing my love for him. Though he knows it, I make sure I tell him everyday. In a few minutes I will most my take on this.

This is my first try with the Gina K stamp set Retro Boutique. I love this little dress. I colored with Copic markers and then cut out the image. Popped it on some pop dots. Then used my Essential Glue pad and then drizzled glitter all on the dress. Had to make it as girly as I could. The base is Paper Trey Ink cardstock scored with my Scor pal. The designer paper is from Stampin Up! The little bling bling is from Gina K also. I used Stampin Up!'s corner punches and added a little dimension to the inside of the card.
